Turku Biennial opened its doors on May 9th 2013 at Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova. The biennial exhibition is completed by a comprehensive event progamme, the biennial calendar, which offers the museum visitor various tasters of the exhibition. On special guided tours (only in Finnish) visitors are welcomed to study the theme of an idyll and its contents as seen by each biennial artist participating as a guest on the tour. On these tours both biennial artists' thoughts and observations of art critics, as well as a burlesque star can be heard. On free public lectures (only in Finnish) experts will provide depth into the theme of an idyll by discussing it from the perspective of landscape studies, musicology and art history amongst others.

The entire biennial calendar is found at the Turku Biennial page or at the Events page. You can also pick up a paper version of the calendar from the ticket sales located at the entrance of the museum.

Welcome to the idyll!
