Welcome to the joyful Middle Ages!

Medieval Turku is Finland's best known historical market where all events take place in the heart of old Turku and the city's most important medieval locations. Medieval Turku brings together actors portraying historical characters, craftsmen and experts of the Middle Ages.

Medieval Turku is organised from Thursday June 26th to Sunday June 29th 2014

The event is a collaboration between the Medieval Market of the Old Town Square, Life in Medieval Turku in Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova, Turku Cathedral and Turku Castle.

Meet the archaeologist, participate in a guided tour and get your own document of lunacy!

Life in Medieval Turku -guided tours from Thursday to Sunday at 15.30. The tour is included in the price of the entrance tickets. Tickets -50% throughout the market.

Archaeological excavations are part of the daily life of Aboa Vetus. The archaeologist working on the excavation of summer 2014 is present from Thursday to Sunday 12–17 and welcomes visitors to come and have a chat of what it's like to excavate the ruins of a medieval house.

Official documents of lunacy and noble titles can be purchased from the king's clerks! These merry clerks are located next to the entrance of the museum from Thursday to Sunday 12–17.

The museum is open every day 11-19.
