Maija Närhinen wins the vote for the audience’s favourite work in the Turku Biennial

The artist’s work River made an impression on many levels

Maija Närhinen (b. 1967) has won the vote with the work River (2015). Out of the 539 votes Närhinen was given 110. This year the vote was even between many of the works. The artist group Anna Breu came second with the work Stargate, receiving 88 votes and third place went to Krister Gråhn and Jarno Vesala with their collaborative work Under Construction, which was given 55 votes. Maija Närhinen will be awarded with a prize of 1 000 euros.
