Medieval tweezers made of copper alloy are a rare find. Tweezers were used in beauty treatment already in the Bronze Age (around 1500–500 BCE) for example for tweezing eyebrows. In the Middle Ages women could also tweese their hair, as high forehead was in fashion in the 15th and 16th centuries. Similar tweezers have been found from Helgeandsholmen in Stockholm.
