Archaeological excavations continue in Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova this summer. The archaeologist's find is exhibited in the museum's lobby.
The brickmaker has drawn a key on the end of the brick as his signature. The same craftsman has produced bricks for both Turku Cathedral and Raisio Church, which helps to date the brick found at the museum to the end of the 15th century. The find reveals that the brickmaker didn't work solely for the church. The key is the sign of the Apostle Peter, which further reveals that the brickmaker's name might have been Petrus or Peter.
