Location of the museum

The Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova Museum is located in Turku on the banks of the River Aura, at Itäinen rantakatu 4-6, 20700 Turku.

The main entrance to the museum is on Itäinen Rantakatu. A gate to the museum through the inner courtyard is located on Nunnankatu close to the corner with Itäinen Rantakatu.

Getting there

On foot: The museum is within walking distance from such places as the Cathedral (5 minutes) and the Market Square (10 minutes). A pleasant walk is to go along the streets bordering the river, which contain far less traffic than the other streets in the city centre.

By bicycle: There is bicycle park right by the main entrance to the museum.

By bus: Numbers 13, 30 and 55 (bus stop - Hämeenkatu / Kåren).

By car: In the immediate vicinity of the museum, there is only limited parking space. You might find free spaces along such streets as Nunnankatu and Hämeenkatu.

Coaches: Parking in front of the main entrance to the museum on Itäinen rantakatu.
