Laurentius Museum Shop
The Laurentius Museum Shop was named after Finland's first book-seller. Laurentius Jauchius from Lübeck moved to Finland and set up his shop in Turku in 1642, so tradition dictates that we should be the first to offer new and rare publications on history, art and museology.
In addition to souvenirs and gifts, our range of products includes top-quality Finnish handicraft from jewellery, ornaments, toys and games to sweets and musical instruments. If historical, hand-made beer and schnapps glasses can already be found on your dining table, we could perhaps recommend wine glasses and cutlery in the same style.
In memory of ‘the good old days', we offer an extensive range of postcards depicting scenes such as Turku the beginning of the 20th century. If that period is still too vivid in your mind, then you might want to purchase a map of 16th- century Turku. It's stylish to write a letter using a quill pen and real ink, then to seal it with your own seal.
Our personal range of goods is constantly increasing and improving. If you sign up as a loyal customer of the museum, you can get a further 10% discount from our already reasonable prices.
